Udp Unicorn Lag Switch Download
My mate is using virtual lag switcher. It is software called udp unicorn it can make game completely unplayable and you will see just screenshot. Problem is that lag affect both players. Anyhow he is using it against penalties - your opponent have 0% to score. He will see just pictures. Plus when he is in lead 1-0 he usually turn it on. I cant seem to find a lag switch that has the ability to lag my internet (for the SP to MP glitch). I use UDP unicorn, both my computer and ps3 are wired to my router. Any chance theres a download link?
If you're here for the method and want to skip the rant and explanation, head to the bottom.

Hello! My PSN is FonkinHoddypeak. You may have seen me around or not. I have a sort of binge-purge relationship with GTA. I'm also irrationally upset by their fixing the changing date trick, so I expect this to be long winded and contain foul language.
I'm really fucking pissed that they won't add the meat of the game to private/friend/crew only lobbies, instead making people play in pubs where everyone gets alerted when ever anyone tries to make any money, and encourages griefing as a result. And there's the whole mod debacle, but I won't go into that here.
I personally don't care for the MTU method as its inconsistent and can cause issues once you're in the game, and with everything network related in general on the PS4. You're basically making your internet connection shitty on purpose to trick the game into thinking you aren't a good enough host to connect with people, but still technically 'online' enough to play on your own. I can go into more detail if desired, but it's not really important. Bottom line is it's fucked me out of some I/E sales before thanks to the peer-to-peer nature of GTA, so I've been determined to figure out a way to reliably get into a solo public lobby ever since they 'fixed' the changing date method.
GTA has no jurisdiction over the PS4 code, they can only patch their code. So how did they 'fix' the date trick, and what was it doing in the first place? Basically you were causing a network interruption long enough to drop peers, but not long enough to kick you from the game 99% of the time. So, what they did was adjust their netcode to be more restrictive in that regard as far as I can tell. As a result, the game now is much more eager to drop you into single player if it detects interruptions, and also why the MTU method still works (and probably won't ever be 'fixed' as it would be impossible to distinguish low MTU connections from people with shitty internet connections on the back end).
There are two things at work here with the networking: Bandwidth and latency. I have a good internet connection as far as both are concerned, which the game picks up on and delightfully drops me into 30 player public lobbies whenever I play in pubs. So, my goal has been to determine what these thresholds are, and somehow fall just below those thresholds but not enough to keep me from going online at all.
There are several things I've tried so far. My router has a QoS limit that I can enforce, which was the logical place to start. This was met with mixed results, and had the caveat of making the game take forever for the game to load online, which would either 'work' meaning it would still put me into giant public lobbies, or take 10 minutes then boot me to single player. The problem is it does nothing for the latency which I have a feeling the game cares more about than bandwidth, so it would still connect me with people, just take forever to do so. So that's out. So how the hell do you get your latency down? MTU, but there has to be another answer, and it hit me. DoS the PS4.
I found some simple Python scripts examples of UDP floods, which kinda worked after I customized them somewhat, but I don't know enough about Python to create the solutions I was envisioning. I found a tool with a gui for UDP flood attacks called UDP Unicorn, which is what I ended up using to get into 2 solo public lobbies somewhat reliably. I played for a bit afterwards, and no one connected.
Here's how I got it to work. I have a dedicated Windows server with a gigabit hardwired connection that I run the tool from, and my PS4 is also hardwired. When I'm in a public game, I couldn't get it to boot everyone like how the date trick did or how people were reporting, as I think my connection is too good. So, what I did was find settings to saturate my network card on the computer, point it at the PS4's IP address, hit go, then find a new session. After a try or two, it put me into a solo lobby. I quit the game, did it again and it put me into another solo lobby.
There are a number of forums with different information than below. One that suggested pointing it to some outside IP address in China to saturate your outbound connection to cause the desired effect. There are a couple things wrong with this. The first big one is that DoS'ing is a big no-no and you want to keep that shit inside your own private network.
The other thing I was thinking of trying is a 'lag switch' which consists of connecting the orange wire in your ethernet connection to a ON-OFF switch and flipping it off and on. I haven't tried this, as I wanted to find a way for everyone to benefit.
Please let me know what you think, have any questions, or if you have anything to contribute. I've spent quite a while researching this, packet sniffing, port monitoring, proxies, etc and this is the best solution I've found so far.
DISCLAIMER:
Please, if you are in any way uncomfortable with this, not technical at all, or just don't know what the hell I'm talking about, either ask questions here or stick to the MTU method. This has the potential to cause problems if it's improperly configured. You need to have the skillset to address resultant problems in a timely fashion should a situation arise.

UDP Unicorn, google search and sourceforge download should be first hit
Windows PC, gigabit ethernet hardwired connection is mandatory.
IP address of your PS4, which ideally should be hardwired as well. I'll explain why later.
Task manager open and monitoring network traffic.
Launch UDP Unicorn, get it to look something like this. You may have to set the port to 'rand', I used both. Ultimately we're trying to saturate the PS4 so that it causes latency and drops packets, so crank a bunch of these settings up to match. Make sure you have the internal IP address of your PS4, not your router, not your local PC, nothing external, etc. Super important.

The reason why you don't want to do this over wifi is you're going to be flooding the PS4 with UDP packets, enough to saturate both network ports. You'll take out your wifi network doing this, which you don't want to do. If your PS4 is on wifi, same deal. Be safe, stick to the MTU method until someone comes up with something better.
Once UDP Unicorn is primed, launch GTA and hop into a public lobby. Once you're fully in the game, start UDP Unicorn and find a new session. After a couple tries if all goes well you should be in a solo lobby. Once you're comfortably in a session, stop the UDP Unicorn attack and play like you normally would before the 1.40 patch.
EDIT: Just wanted to confirm this all wasn't a fluke, as I was doing this last night and was excited when it worked. Left port on rand, let it run and kept hopping lobbies till I got a solo one. Took about 5 tries. What's interesting is, towards the end I was connecting to lobbies with fewer and fewer people in them till I got my own. http://i.imgur.com/CPfb5Nn.jpg
