2. Open This PC in File Explorer (Win+E), right click on your Downloads folder, and click/tap on Properties

You can then right click or press and hold on an empty area in your Downloads folder, and click/tap on Properties.

7. Your personal Downloads folder and all of its contents will now be moved to the new location (ex: 'E:Downloads' ). (see screenshot below)

Hello everyone! After having some issues with this yesterday, I decided to write a guide on how to perform the above listed action. The guide is really easy and quick to complete, does not require any technical knowledge. I find it super helpful, since it allows me to change the download location to my external 1TB HDD drive, instead of my *need 200GBs more* SSD, no idea why this feature isn't built in by default. Then again, the native app is missing some essential keyboard shortcuts for which I had to write an AHK script, so I guess there's more to be desired from it.

NOTE: It's best to start the steps before downloading any movies for ease of use. If you have any movies downloaded, please back them up to an off-folder location before starting (by an off-folder, I mean a folder that is NOT used in the guide below, such as your desktop as the files will get deleted otherwise). The path which you need to back up is: C:UsersYOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEAppDataLocalPackages4DF9E0F8.Netflix_mcm4njqhnhss8LocalStateofflineInfo
NOTE2: In order to save yourself some redundant steps, do not close any File Explorer windows/locations before finishing the guide
NOTE3: Don't forget to change the paths with your relative username or desired folder when needed.
Navigate to C:UsersYOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEAppDataLocalPackages
Delete the folder named 4DF9E0F8.Netflix_mcm4njqhnhss8
Open Netflix. It will display the landing page asking for your credentials or to subscribe. Close Netflix.
Navigate back to C:UsersYOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEAppDataLocalPackages. This time cut (note the cut part, not copy) the folder to your Desktop (should be around 6-7 MBs)
Type 'CMD' in the Start Menu. Right click on Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'
Type in: mklink /D 'C:UsersYOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEAppDataLocalPackages4DF9E0F8.Netflix_mcm4njqhnhss8' 'D:netflix' (you should receive a message saying the symlink has been successfully created)
Copy the contents of the backed up 4DF9E0F8.Netflix_mcm4njqhnhss8 into D:netflix (if you had any movies backed up, now is the time to copy them as well to the same location from which you copied the from, but in your new folder location e.g. D:netflix. The folder 'offlineInfo' will most probably not be created, just copy the entire folder structure'
Launch Netflix and login. You're done. At this point when opening the settings of the app through the three dots in the upper right corner, you will be seeing the location of your new folder/drive in the Downloads section. Movies will be downloaded to your newly created location and not waste space anymore!
If you are having any issues, app crashes or problems please follow the above steps carefully. Symlinking another location will cause issues with the app reporting an error (as suggested by u/leokar9, thank you!). Not copying the 6MB folder from step 4 and 7 will cause an app crash on start.
PS: In case you are wondering, yes the symbolic link (symlink) command 'mklink /d' which we used above, can be used for all sorts of different apps which do not allow to change locations. For example, I use it to backup my iPhone to my HDD.
Do not forget however, that this is just a link to another location. If you use the above method to change say games install to your HDD drive, the data will be read off the HDD and you are losing all the benefits of the speedy SSD. Use this only for files that are not apps/programs/games -- for example your Netflix movie collection, your Spotify song collection and etc.
